Primula Tea Giveaway!

Today is Wednesday. I finally read Sunday’s paper this morning. Yes, it’s been that kind of week. So what better time to introduce a giveaway I know you all will love?
When I need to take it down a few notches and just decompress, I turn to tea (which is also why I have my own tea station at work!).
When the lovely folks over at Primula (they are an innovative company that makes oodles of coffee, tea and beverage systems and accessories) found out I loved tea, they offered to send me their Half Moon Teapot Gift Set with 3 Flowering Teas.
Because I have a lovely Le Creuset Classic Tea Kettle at home, I was interested to see what Primula’s tea kettle would add to my collection. As it turns out, a lot.
For one thing, I can’t brew loose leaf tea in my kitchen kettle. It’s also not something I would travel around the house with.
When Brenton’s parents visited during this weekend, we decided to break out the Primula tea kettle because Brenton’s mom had a cold. She brought some amazing decaffeinated citron tea from Fava Tea Company. I was shocked that not one piece of debris sank into the water. That’s one of the main reasons why I like using tea bags, but it was so nice to be able to enjoy tea without floaters.
I also loved how portable it was. We carried it into the living room so guests could refill their cups without going into the kitchen.
The teapot gift set includes a 40 ounce Half Moon Teapot with stainless mesh loose tea infuser and 3 flowering green teas with jasmine, which bloom after they have been seeped for a few minutes. I definitely think this would make a cute gift for the holidays and for only $14.99, it’s at the perfect price point.

Pretty tea kettle! I love loose tea, but it can be such a pain to fill the mesh ball and then clean it. This is a great idea! I don’t know what my greatest gift of all time was–gifts are always special! :)

Hmmmm best gift ever? When I was in high school, I volunteer coached a community cheer squad. They made it to Nationals (which was a huge deal!) in Disney, but I couldn’t afford it. So one of the girl’s parents paid for my plane ticket and another set of parents fundraised for me because the squad “couldn’t go without me!” It was really nice :D

I like sentimental gifts. I have a few faves. One is the hankerchief made by my great grandma which was my something old at my wedding that I wrapped around my bouquet and afterwards my Mom had it custom framed and I love looking at it. Chris is also pretty good at gifts. He had my sister’s wedding speech engraved on a silver platter because I loved it so much and we display that on our mantel. Finally, I have a wall with all old pictures of both Chris and I’s family. Each pic was a gift from my Mom or Mother in law that they had framed. These are all things that would probably be included in my “what would you grab if your house was on fire” list!

I love tea! I just got a tea press and I use it every weekend. My all time favorite gift…when I finished grad school my parents gave me earrings that were my grandma’s. I wear them every day!

I bought some flowering teas for my mom on Mother’s Day – she loved them! It was really fun watching them “bloom”
My favorite gift of all time? That’s hard! I’d have to say my Wusthof kitchen knife because I use it every day.

My favorite gift is my birthday trip to Chicago in 2007. My family surprised me with a week-long trip to this fantastic city. I still remember the runner who crossed our path that cold March day because he wore SHORTS despite the chilly wind!
