William Bounds Sili Tea Ball Giveaway!
The older I get, the more I have gotten into tea. I love making a hot cup at my new tea station in the afternoon when I need a little comfort or a pick-me-up.
I started out using bagged tea but have quickly added loose leaf tea into my drinking repertoire. One of my favorites is Rishi Tea, made right here in Milwaukee. I received a tin of their Chocolate Chai from Outpost as part of my swag bag last summer for the Eat Local Challenge. Thanks to the William Bounds Sili Tea Ball I received, I was finally able to try it!
I do have a tea ball at home, but the holes are too big and I’m left with a bunch of wayward leaves floating through the tea.
Although a little tea debris did seep out, it fell to the bottom of the cup (due to the ball being submerged on the bottom, I think). I love how durable the Sili Tea Ball is and the modern design. This would be a super cute gift for the tea lovers in your life (included in a gift box with some loose leaf tea). It also comes in a bunch of cute colors like aqua, orange and pink (the one I have is eggplant).

Chris became a huge fan of loose leaf tea after visiting Japan last year, and brought home a teapot with a tea strainer. I recently bought him a tea strainer at Outpost that fits right in most mugs, figuring it’d cut down on dishes, but he still insists on using his Japanese teapot :)

My favorite is chai – but my past favorite was the discontinued Celestial Seasonings chocolate caramel enchantment chai. I still have a few bags of that left, so I guess I need to find a replacment – perhaps in loose leaf!

My favorite daytime tea is a lemon green. At night, I prefer chamomile.

I like chai a lot, especially since I am not a coffee drinker. Last winter we bought 2 kinds of the looseleaf tea from Teavana and I went back in the store after checking my receipt as I couldn’t believe it was over $70! It was worth the price though as it lasts awhile (we just busted it out again now that summer is over)and has a more intense flavor than the packets.

I’ve actually never made loose-leaf tea before but my sister is obsessed with tea and she drinks loose-leaf all the time! My favorite teas tend to be either chai or red fruit teas. Yum!

My oldest loves loose tea. More economical and so much more variety. I’m more of a coffee drinker, though I like tea too. Why limit your vices? (Especially now that even chocolate is becoming healthy!)
